Arctic Adventure
Arctic Adventure is a sequel to Pharaoh’s Tomb. This time, Nevada Smith goes to the Arctic to find the legendary Viking treasure in the caves.
In general, the game remained the same, which is very good. The backgrounds are still black, but the mazes and creatures are beige and blue. The main difference from Pharaoh's Tomb is a certain non-linearity of passage, because from the very beginning of the game we have several caves to choose from, which you can go to, however, for some you need keys or boats (a new type of bonuses - for caves filled with water), therefore, they will not be immediately available to us). Sometimes you need to find a pickaxe to cut through the ice. Instead of weapons, the hero now does not have spears, but a normal revolver, well, the place of enemies, of course, was taken by cold-loving creatures - penguins (I know what you want to say, but all claims are to the authors of the game) and awkward creatures like nosed polar bears . The traps also did not disappear anywhere - there are still spikes on the ground, stones or icicles can fall from above, the snowball is the most terrible, because it can neither be destroyed, nor even jumped over - only to hide, which is sometimes difficult to do.
But everything else - well, in the old way. The same five original lives, four episodes and twenty levels. The same treasure bonuses (coins and crystals). The same endless jumps (including on moving cubes) and painful thoughts on how to pass this or that screen (often you have to move the blocks yourself to jump somewhere on them). And the same sweet-sad miracle of joy from the apparent return to the past. This is really a great continuation of an excellent game - the same kind and warming heart of any oldheimer world, but flourished with new colors, and, of course, a real classic of the genre.
