Metropolis
Metropolis is an almost unknown and extremely complex futuristic quest. The action takes place in a very distant cyberpunk future - in 5067. Your hero is an agent of the security service of the megacorporation IC&D, which is developing new software. Its task is to uncover several crimes preparing against the corporation in different areas of the colossal city of Metropolis, populated by both humans and robots.
There are only ten levels - according to the number of conspiracies, and they must be passed sequentially, one after another. Side view of the game. The gameplay is based on conversations with the NPC, and, like in many very old quests, the game is based on a text analyzer, that is, you will have to type phrases for the conversation yourself. In this regard, the game is considered a true masterpiece - its “dictionary” is more than twenty thousand (!) Words, while it can also understand phrases that are simple in design in “spoken” English (but this should still be the phrase, but not just a bunch of words).
But there is no such thing as inventory in the game in principle - absolutely all puzzles are solved either by talking to NPCs (sometimes very, very long and complicated ones), or by performing some kind of action with various devices. But in this case, this is only beneficial for the game - because the conversations and the characters here are really quite colorful.
Graphically, the game, even for its time, looks somewhat outdated, but in fact black spaces instead of backgrounds and rare game objects that are extremely bright create the right atmosphere for a gloomy city in the distant future. The verdict is definitely for a very big lover of the genre, because the game is too unusual and original, but it deserves attention and a high enough rating.
