Blam! Machinehead

Blam! Machinehead is a little-known action in which to play for the girl Kimberly Stride, managing the hovercraft. The action takes place in the future, where a mysterious virus that penetrates the DNA of people gradually destroys humanity. Your task is to go on a hovercraft to the infected wastelands that the Earth has turned into, and be able to somehow find a cure.

What makes this game interesting? At first glance - nothing at all. More precisely, it is interesting, of course, how interesting any action is, but there seems to be nothing unusual in it. Although we travel by vehicle, in terms of dynamics and control this is the most common shooter. Our main current task is to simply wander through deserts, abandoned factories and other places that are sweetest for the eyes and hearts of any oldheimer and destroy everything that at least tries to move. However, after a few minutes of the game, you can notice a lot of interesting and interesting moments.

Firstly, our ship has two machine guns, and you can shoot from both at the same time (the ammunition in the game is finite, they have to be collected). Secondly, there are stealth elements here - it is possible to look around the corner, carefully aim and quietly deal with the enemy. Thirdly, there are really interesting and non-trivial enemies, who probably came up in surrealistic delirium. According to the plot of the game, the virus affects everyone, but if it kills people, it turns animals into scary and evil mutants. Therefore, the Earth is now inhabited by giant spiders, flying jellyfish and other amazing and beautiful creatures that you have to destroy. And, of course, the game is noteworthy in that it is one of the first shooters where you are invited to play for a girl (although during the game you will not really see her).

The game is divided into four large episodes, which must be completed sequentially, at the end of each there is some kind of plot goal, the episodes differ in design, and their size is positively huge. Graphically, the game looks very nice - it is possible that the image clarity is sometimes lacking, but the thick atmosphere of the terrible post-apocalypse is felt in full. The Verdict is a rare four-plus shooter with a minimum that has not made any revolution in the genre, but is long and more than entertaining to go through, so all fans of the genre should definitely watch.
