J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, Vol. 2: The Two Towers

J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, Vol. 2: The Two Towers - This is the second series of dilogy (alas, dilogy) based on the second volume of the trilogy of Professor Tolkien.

So, Boromir died the death of the brave but envious, Merry and Pippin were abducted by orcs, Legolas, Aragorn and Gimli wander along the plains of Rohan, and Sam and Frodo continue their movement towards Mordor and even intersect with Gollum - as it should be.

Intro quickly brings you up to date, and from the very beginning it becomes clear that the authors of the game were not idle. The interface has been brought to mind: finally you can play without a keyboard at all, the music has changed from poor-quality FM synthesis to normal AdLib, the graphics have become a little brighter, and the action now and then switches from one squad of heroes to another, following the course of the book’s plot in general features.

It is in general - after all, in the original, Man, Gnome and Elf did not do detective studies among the local population, did not help the widows they met along the way to avenge the dead husbands and in general. However, the beginning and end of each chapter is determined by the source text - and what you will do between them is your own business.

Field trials by improvised tolkienists showed that this series is considered heresy to a lesser extent than the previous one - perhaps due to the slightly smaller size of the cards laid down in each chapter ... In any case, the general recommendations are the same as with the previous series, - It’s worth trying both to fans of the book and to fans of old-mode RPGs, and the rest - how it goes.
